Program Description

Event Details

Join us for a free presentation for K-5 students and families by teaching artists from the Pittsburgh Opera! This program will educate children and families about how stories are told in opera, and the instructors will then perform an improvised opera based on an everyday situation voted on by participants. They will even include two classic operatic arias in their improvised show! There will also be a photo op with opera costumes at the end of the program, and a craft to take home. Please register if you plan to attend.

Imagination Series - You’re only limited by your lack of imagination!

Thanks to a very generous donation, we will be able to partner with organizations like the Pittsburgh Zoo, local museums, and more to offer a series of special children’s programs throughout the year. Programs will be offered for various ages, so if you see one that doesn’t fit for your family, please stay tuned.  Be sure to check our event calendar regularly to find out about future Imagination Series events.
